Solène Kerlo

Elixir

Regular price $3,000

Limited edition — edition size 8, edition number 3

Elixir is a suspended sign, somewhere between a ritual object, and an archaic emblem. Its bird-like form recalls Solène Kerlo's recurring vocabulary of winged symbols, cross-forms, and protective ornaments. Cast in recycled brass, the sculpture appears as a relic of transformation: a fragment that could have belonged to a body, a ceremony, or a forgotten cosmology. The work extends the artist's research into adornment as a silent language: a sign worn, carried, or offered, through which matter becomes both symbol and transmission.

Curator's Note

"Another Solène piece that lives at the edge of categories — part vessel, part sculpture. The brass develops its own patina over time, which is the point. Beautiful on a shelf or mantle alongside other objects."
