The Small Hakozen Box is based on boxes of the same name used historically throughout Japan, starting from the Edo Period. It features continuous grain flow assembly and is stackable by the inset construction of the lid.
"Hakozen" in Japanese translates to "box table" as they were traditionally used, in larger dimensions, as surfaces to dine on as well as compartments to store tea-ware and tableware.
